ABL has over 35 years of anodising experience and is one of a very few companies in the UK that combine fabrication and anodising on the same site.

ABL can offer the appropriate supporting QA documentation for anodising and polishing processes which allows us to supply industries, such as automotive, where process capability is key.

Powder coating is the most widespread method of surface coating and provides an almost limitless choice of colours with excellent repeatability of colour matching.

ABL’s commitment to a one stop shop includes the provision of a powder coat facility. Components of up to 6 metres can be powder coated with all RAL colours, including translucents, being available.

We powder coat aluminium extrusion, sheet, components, castings, flashings and pressings for a wide range of market sectors – many demanding the highest possible surface finish.

We polish aluminium extrusions, aluminium sheet and castings every day, supplying a vast range of domestic, consumer, retail and industrial sectors.

Polishing capability is also provided in-house. We serve a high number of market sectors where very high quality polishing is required – e.g. in visually demanding applications such as automotive, designer radiators, cosmetics point of sale and premium furniture markets.

ABL offers an assembly service which generally involves combining aluminium components made in-house with a variety of bought in components such as plastics, castings, sheet metal, etc.

Assembly operations include:
- Mechanical jointing
- Adhesive bonding
- Mig and Tig welding

ABL often assembles aluminium extrusion components that are aesthetically demanding where the surface finish is critical.

ABL is often asked to pack finished assemblies into final customer packaging and deliver direct to end user. In these instances we can add additional value to our customers by effectively becoming an extension to their business.
